The short version
- We only collect what we need to talk with you, do your design work and get paid.
- We don’t sell or rent your information, ever.
- This site uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how it’s used, and the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads.
- Want your information deleted? Email us and we’ll take care of it.
1About this policy
This policy explains how Field Ready Design Co. (“Field Ready,” “we” or “us”), handles personal information when you visit fieldreadydesign.com, book a call, email us or become a client.
2What we collect
What you give us
- When you email us: your name, email address and whatever you write or attach.
- When you book a call: your name, email, company, website, fleet size, what you want designed and, if you choose a phone call, your phone number.
- When you become a client: your account details, your requests, the files and photos you send, and our messages back and forth.
- When you pay: payments are handled by Stripe. We see your name, billing details and payment status, but never your full card number.
What’s collected automatically
- Hosting: the site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical information, like your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Fonts: the site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to see how people find and use the site, like which pages they visit, how long they stay, what device and browser they use, their general location (city or region) and the site that sent them. Google collects this with cookies and your IP address, and we see totals and trends, not who you are. Here’s how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Heatmaps and session recordings: we use Microsoft Clarity to see how people move through our pages, like where they click and tap, how far they scroll and where they get stuck. Clarity records these interactions and turns them into heatmaps and replays of visits, which we use to make the site easier to use. It hides sensitive content, like what you type into form fields. Microsoft collects this with first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies, and may also use it for security, fraud prevention, improving its own products and advertising through Microsoft Advertising. Microsoft handles this information under its privacy statement.
- Advertising: we use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). When a page loads, it sends Meta details about your visit, like the page you viewed, your IP address, your browser and device, and a cookie ID. Meta may match this to a Facebook or Instagram account. We use it to see how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited the site. We see totals, not who you are. Meta handles this information under its privacy policy.
3Cookies
fieldreadydesign.com sets three kinds of cookies, and none of them include your name or contact details:
- Google Analytics (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) tells new visits apart from repeat ones. These expire after two years at most.
- Meta Pixel (named _fbp, plus _fbc if you arrive from one of our ads) lets Meta connect your visit to our ads. These expire after 90 days.
- Microsoft Clarity (named _clck and _clsk) tells new visits apart from repeat ones and groups the pages you view into one visit. _clsk expires after a day and _clck after a year. Microsoft may also set its own cookies on its own domains, like MUID, to recognize your browser across sites that use Microsoft services.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. If you use Facebook or Instagram, you can also stop Meta from using your activity on other sites for ads in your ad preferences there. The site works the same either way.
The services we link to, like our booking page, client portal and checkout, run on their own sites and may set their own cookies there, under their own privacy policies.
4How we use it
- To reply to you, and to schedule and prepare for calls, including looking at your website and vehicles beforehand
- To do your design work and send files to the vendors you ask us to
- To bill you and keep business and tax records
- To send emails about your account and your requests
- Now and then, to send a short update about Field Ready. Every one has a way to opt out.
- To keep the site and our accounts secure, and to meet legal requirements
5Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent personal information. We only share it with:
- The services that run the business: Cloudflare (website hosting and email routing), Google (email, video calls, fonts and site analytics), Meta (ad measurement on Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft (heatmaps and session recordings through Clarity), Calendly (call booking), Many Requests (sign-up and client requests) and Stripe (payments). Each one handles your information under its own privacy policy.
- Vendors you ask us to work with: like your sign shop, printer or web developer, when you ask us to send them files.
- When the law requires it: to comply with a legal request, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
- If the business changes hands: information would go to the new owner, who would have to follow this policy.
Finished design work may appear in our portfolio, as described in our terms.
6How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it. Emails and call bookings that don’t turn into work are deleted within about two years. Client files are kept so we can help with future requests, unless you ask us to delete them. Invoices and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
7Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we have about you, correct it or delete it, and you can opt out of update emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your state’s law. Email hello@fieldreadydesign.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for asking.
Some records, like invoices, we have to keep by law even if you ask us to delete them.
8Security
We use reasonable safeguards, like secure accounts and trusted service providers, to protect your information. No system is perfect, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
9Children
This site and our services are for businesses, not children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated. If a change affects how we use client information, we’ll email active clients first.
